I love my new camera!

I have been trying out stuff with the macro setting (closeup stuff). I did some action shots of Jack dancing too (in his new cute outfit, thanks Mom)

Christmas!

We spent Christmas Eve and Day and the day after at Matt's grandmother's home in Virginia. We did stockings from "Santa" in the morning which is always fun and unpredictable. We made it home Friday evening and had our own little family Christmas. It was very nice, we had a fire going in the fireplace, the kids got some pretty cool stuff, then went to bed and Matt and I finished opening our remaining gifts together. He got me the two things I wanted most this year, Mama Mia dvd and a new digital camera! I was very excited. He was happy with his Christmas also. The Nativity story was told with our little people display which was very cute and the kids even listened for the most part this year. All in all a great holiday. We still have one more Christmas to do over at KK and Baba's on Sunday evening. I love Christmastime! Can't wait to hear how everyone else's went!

30 Weeks, Christmas fun coming next...

I turned 30 weeks on Christmas day. So here I am...

more to come...but for now...

We went to our Ward Christmas party on the 13th. Had some dinner, loved the potatoes (the kind with the cornflakes on top), then each auxiliary was asked to perform something. So my Young Women's Presidency and I did our version of the 12 Days of Christmas, the 12 Days of Young Women. It was very fun, I think we did a good job.
There are other things I have pictures of but this is it for now until I get them off my camera.

The Big One.

This is going to be a big post because I can't seem to ever sit down after things happen and write about them/post pictures. So here is everything from the last little while. Above, just cute pictures of Jack and Christian all dressed up to go somewhere, I can't remember. Oh, spaghetti supper? I don't know. Anyway...
Jack turned 4 on November 30th. We had a little family party where the tradition is to hide presents and the birthday boy does the hot/cold game to search them out. It was fun to watch Jack. There was also a really cool candle that spun and blossomed and played a happy birthday turn, it was pretty sweet. That night we celebrated Matt, Jack, Emily and Karen's birthdays, all November.

Then we had his party with a few friends. It was a shapes/colors party. They all seemed to have a good time. No tears, no fights, it went well. This was probably the funniest part of the party watching them try to pop all the balloons.

Geri and Me after our Presidency meeting. 26 almost 27 weeks (me) and 25 weeks (Ger).

We had our Stake Christmas Gala dance. Here are some friends at the party plus, Matt and I took a prom pic, aww.
I thought it was funny, I wore the same dress that I did to my high school reunion in July. A bit of a difference.

All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth....

Well, for the moment it is just one that he is missing. The other is very soon to follow I am sure. This first one we have been waiting on for weeks! Anyone who has seen Christian has seen his tooth slowly moving itself on top of his other front tooth, looking more and more scary. Finally after threatening to use pliers, Matt got the tooth out and Christian got $2 from the tooth fairy. His adult tooth is already about a quarter of the way in!The boys both got haircuts from Daddy. That is the profile pics. We were getting ready to go to the Scout Spaghetti Supper. Also in here is our first snow of the season and the kids with their nicely cleaned and semi organized closet. Thats pretty much it! Have a great Thanksgiving!

Twilight movie...

I went to the midnight showing on Thursday with my friend Geri. We sat in the two handicapped seats in the back row of the lower sections which were great seats. We're both pregnant, we thought that counted. The house was packed full. The previews started. The crowd screamed and cheered when the Harry Potter preview showed. Then cheered again as the movie started. There was lots of cooing, sighing, giggling, awwing, etc when Edward first showed up, Carlisle came on screen, and the kissing scene. That made the movie even more fun to watch though.
I liked the movie a lot. An Oscar winner it is not but who was really expecting that from a teen romance saga?? I thought there were a few things taken out , dialogue mostly, that I would've liked to see but how long could the movie have been if everything I wanted to see was in it? Too long probably. It was fun to watch, I will see it again, I will buy the DVD when it comes out and I'll probably even read the books again at some point. I can't wait for the second movie which they totally set up at the end. I think they will maybe get a bigger budget and do some better effects and the characters should be developed more with all the introductions now out of the way. Love the soundtrack, still thinking about the movie 3 days later.
Never could've been as good as the book but still fun to see parts of it on the big screen.

24 Weeks - beginning 6 months!

Here I am at 24 weeks. (I never know which picture to use so there are two, I know they look the same...) I see the doctor today so we'll learn how much I have gained...I know the baby is definitely feeling bigger by how much stronger the kicks and punches are getting! I read that my uterus is about the size of a soccer ball...that is kinda what it looks like I am carrying around under my shirt these days. Jack wanted in on the picture taking action so there is also a picture of Jack... *Update - So I am 140 now...the doctor is having me get another sonogram because they didn't see everything they wanted in the last one including the spine, the baby was in a weird position or something, so I can double check on the girl thing which I am excited about. Also coming up in the next couple of weeks, the glucose screening, nasty drink that you try and chug...otherwise baby and mama doing well and growing right on schedule.

From almost 5 weeks ago...

I would've put this up after I got it but our scanner wasn't hooked up and our computer does stupid stuff sometimes...anyway, here are the sonogram pics...not the easiest to decipher but in the first you should see a head and profile of face, neck, shoulder and arm going up towards the mouth. The other one is more fuzzy, like a motion shot, there is a leg, body, arm and head lying on back, profile. I will have a picture of me at the end of the week for the 24 week shot. I am feeling pretty good, but there are a lot more aches and pains than I had with the previous two.

HALLOWEEN!

We fed the kids dinner, got them in costume, took some pictures, and then Matt walked them around the neighborhood while I passed out candy and watched "The Village"
A pleasant night...
I love their muscle faces and superhero poses...

Fall Happenings

Where to start...I got a new hair cut, trim really, but love it. I really like the Fall here, the trees become gorgeous with the different colors...I went out and took some pictures today but I still don't think it captures just how pretty and vibrant they are. We never carved our pumpkin this year. Every night there seemed to be something else so it never happened. The kids weren't too broken up.

W
e did do this other project. A clearance item that turned out to be every bit worth (or maybe less than) the clearance price. Matt showed his vote on how the project went.

Jack has been going to preschool two days a week.
He
loves it. Today he got to dress in his costume and they will be trick-or-treating through the hallways (his preschool is at the high school). He was very excited and makes a handsome little Superman.

Last
but not least, last night was the Ward Fall Festival, costumes, games, etc. Well, Christian was supposed to be Lex Luther to go with Superman. We bought the bald cap and everything. Awesome right? Not so much. The adhesive to get the bald cap on turned out to be almost like glue, and well, have you ever glued something to your head and pieces of hair and then tried to get it off gently? Poor Christian. Needless to say, we missed the party but after removing the head and showering, enjoyed a lovely dinner at the new Red Robin restaurant. We are going to the store today to pick out a new costume for tomorrow. More pictures then.
