Matty Blue Eyes...

This is where the kids get their eyes from...hehehe, leftover chocolate on his lip :)
these are some stellar faces

Anna's second playdate

Our friend Aly Bullock was here visiting with her little girl Kyrah who is 7 months? I hope that's right. We had fun eating and catching up. Aly just started her own business called KinderKeepsakes. Very cute handmade baby items. Anyway, her are some pictures from the visit.

3 months 2 weeks

Cute baby Anna is 3 months and 2 weeks now. I can't wait to get her weighed. It seems like forever to wait between 2 and 4 month check ups. She is on the verge of laughing and does the cutest little "huh" sound while lifting her shoulders like a shrug. When she gets excited her arms and legs flail and pump all over the place.

She is sleeping like a rockstar! A record 8 1/2 hours last night. She stands up really well when we hold her and sits up so straight just like her brothers did. I am so glad we have this sweet little girl!!!

Anna Reese is gonna, JUMP! JUMP!

We got a Johnny Jump Up and Anna seems to like it. She doesn't do much in it for now but she seems content enough in it. And she looks so cute sitting there hanging from the ceiling.
"Weee! No feet!"

my mother's day

Started off early feeding Anna then falling back asleep. Then I hear Christian asking Matt something, Matt rolls over and asks if I want breakfast in bed. I say I am not exactly hungry right then so he tells Christian that we won't worry about doing breakfast. Later on the drive to church Christian tells me what he had wanted to do for my breakfast in bed. On his menu was waffles, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and juice. It sounded good, but we didn't have any of those things anyway, so I let him know that it made me happy that he had thought about that. He also gave me a letter that he wrote at school for me. Very cute.
Here is what it said:
My Mom is special because...she takes care of me and loves me and helps me.
I like it when my Mom...tikkles me and hugs me and kisses me.
I will never forget the time my Mom...gave me an O and an X (hug and kiss). When she gave me a butterfly kiss.
If I could give my Mom anything I would...give her a gift card to PF Changs. I would give lots of X and Os.

I got the flower after church ( I still don't understand why the dads get cookies and the moms get flowers, I am really an awful gardner, don't really enjoy doing it much, so the flower while a nice thought is probably going to do all its blooming in that little plastic container. I feel sorry for it). After church my loving hubby gave me his gift, well Jack actually got it from Matt, brought it to me and threw the Best Buy bag on the floor by the couch and said, "here is your present mommy!" Inside was the Sony earbuds that I did need and Mario Kart for the Wii. I do like Mario Kart. We played a couple of rounds, then the kids started to fight about it so we turned it off.

Overall it was an alright day. I do like feeling appreciated if only for a day. I love my kids beyond words. I was thinking yesterday that it is such a crazy thing to be 29, living in Maryland with 3 kids. It could've been so different and I am so glad it's not. Being a mom has completed my life in a way. I cannot imagine waking up everyday without my little men and my precious little girl. I am blessed!

Cinco de Mayo fundraiser

Saturday was the Young Women's fundraiser, another Cinco de Mayo fiesta! It was fun, lots and lots of food, so much that we made close to $400 the next day selling off leftovers, and dancing. The girls did a good job helping out and doing their part to earn some camp money.
Anna got dressed up cute to go to her first fiesta.

Hazel: So who's your daddy?
Anna: Pretty sure its not this guy...

fiesta!

Jack and I went to the Mother/Son Cinco de Mayo party for the Stake on Saturday. As we pulled in poor Jack had conked out. They had a dinner of tacos, southwestern salad, empenadas, and yummy punch.
Then we played games, futbol and a target shooting game. Jack got to try out some drums and make a sombrero cookie with frosting and gumdrops.

It was a fun little evening to spend with Jack.

private practice

Christian has always been a bit timid in the water so we knew he would not be ready for a swim class in his age level. We decided to go with a few private lessons with Mr. Matt at the club to get him caught up with floating and front crawl arms and just getting more comfy in the water. He was dunking himself with no problem and kicking but didn't like to hang out too long under the water as in no floating. So we'll continue to practice! Jack starts lessons this Saturday. He is a fish.
