Christian will do a better post of this with more pictures. Opening day was exciting. They do a parade of all the teams and contest for the best banner. I thought Christian's team Thunder's was pretty snazzy. Then they give some awards and play ball! Christian hit off the tee and hit the "live" pitch. Halfway through the game and boy was practicing his swing as he waited to go up to bat and another boy walked over and bent to get something and whack, metal bat to the forehead right above his eye. Poor little guy let out a wail and I went over to see how bad and there was blood streaming down his face into his eye. You could see the open gash on his eyebrow. They called an ambulance and the other kids looked on with slightly shocked expressions. They ended up continuing the game but we had to leave early. It was an eventful opener for Team Thunder.
