FLASHBACK!!!
Here are two pics from when Matt and I were engaged. The b&w one our actual engagement in the invitation picture and the other after my first trip to the temple for my endowments. I love how little Matt looks!!
First day of school...I am so slow
Christian had his first week of school as a 2nd grader. He really enjoyed it and seems to really like his teacher. He did really well with his first list of spelling words. Jack continues to ask if he can go on the bus to school too. He is going to the preschool program at Bel Air High School as soon as it starts whenever they contact me. He is very excited. I love when school starts. I love to fill out all the forms they send home and help get Christian's homework notebooks all organized. New office supplies I can't get enough of. Love it.

for those of you who don't know...
I am pregnant! Yay!! Number 3...I am 13 weeks now so finally leaving that nasty morning (all-day) sickness behind...We are really excited as are the kids. Jack asks everyday if the baby is still in there and tells me how it will get out (so far two different options, 1. sliding down my leg and out of my shoe, 2. the doctor will cut me open and get it out "but how will he fix you mommy?")
The boys will be so great...so we are really starting to get serious about finishing our basement soon so we can get our stuff settled and have a room for the baby upstairs. Exciting!
My due date is March 5.

last weekend of summer...
Our last weekend of summer was somewhat eventful. Matt and I got to have a date night to do sealings at the temple and then hit P.F. Chang's after. Yummy. Saturday we had a great day at the ocean. We met up with some friends at the Indian River Inlet beach in Delaware. The weather was perfect...water felt good...and the kids had a blast. After the ocean we drove 10 minutes up to the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk where we ate the yummy boardwalk fries with cider vinegar and salt at Thrasher's and then enjoyed watching the kids go on tons of fun kiddie rides. My favorite was a free-fall type ride that really drops them quickly, Jack was on it and every drop his face looked horrified but when it was done he smiled and wanted to do it again. We topped off the evening with ice-cream and then a sleepy ride home.
School starts tomorrow and I think Christian is excited. Jack even gets to go to a two day a week preschool this year that is a part of the high school nearby. That doesn't start until September but he is still getting excited to go to "school."
Anyway, that was our weekend. Enjoy the coming week!

If it's a tie, it's a tie!!!
Ok, so I don't know if anyone watched the event finals last night of uneven bars with Nastia Liukin. Well, as Bela Karoyli would say "it was a rip-off". The Chinese girls were definitely very good. Nastia went second and scored the same 16.725 that the first Chinese girl did. But in gymnastics (and only gymnastics) they have a tie breaking system in the computer that eliminates another score and then ranks them in 1 - 2 order. Nastia looked much cleaner and should've been scored better anyway, but my thinking is, if there are two girls given the same score, they must have thought they were equally as good as each other, therefore they should both receive a Gold medal!
So there on my thoughts on the, I feel, flawed scoring system in the gymnastics world.

Breaking Dawn Fans!
If you've already read the book click the title/link to watch some videos on mtv.com of Stephenie Meyer answering all kinds of questions about the book. Things I have been wondering....what did the cover mean...how was the pregnancy possible...why wasn't there a big battle at the end...etc...

Men's Gymnastics
The American men did great last night with the gymnastics team final. Jonathan Horton was rock solid on almost everything. It makes me laugh how the whole team is like 5'2 or something...anyway. Alex Artemov...amazing pommel horse routine, the only event he did to hold on to that bronze medal. Justin Spring on the high bar was fantastic...the dismount incredible. I think the announcers really underestimated the team and how they would do without the Hamms. They kept bringing them up and how it was amazing they were doing this without them. I think the Hamms are lame. I am so glad they were not there. It gave all these newcomers a chance to shine and everyone got to see them do just that.
Tonight the women! Let's hope they look better than they did at prelims.
The Greatest Relay Ever!
Click on the title...Here is the amazing relay that the American's took from the French. Watch...it is one exciting race!

olympics
The men's relay last night was the most exciting swimming race I have ever watched! The American's swooped in at literally the last 800th of a second to beat the trash talking French! I love it! Matt and I both jumped out of our seats at the finish! I love the Olympics! (This might be a picture from Athens but Phelps had that same expression and his excitement was great!)

finally...
Ok, so its been like months. Anyway, this is not going to be a long post, that will follow soon, I swear. I was just reading online an article saying that "true fans" of the Twilight series didn't like Breaking Dawn and were returning it. I read it in a day and a half and thought it was a great ending to the series. They finally get married and the sexual tension can be released. Other stuff happens (just in case you haven't read it yet) All in all a great ending! The article was saying that people were offended or something? Cause they are having sex after marriage? Cause there was a bloody scene? I dunno. I thought it was good. So anyway, 3/4 through The Host now and starting to like that one too. Alright...that is it for now. I will put my pics from the release party I went to at Barnes and Noble soon.
